We’re fortunate to have a thriving creative community on our doorstep. In the rural township of Birregurra, 8kms away, live people who have escaped to the country life so they can work on their passions in life. Others are home-grown types who enjoy creating original ideas. It’s a sign of a healthy, well rounded, community where you can see creative endevour in the mainstream.
Every Easter for the past 5 years, creative types in Birregurra, and our little locale, Warncoort, open their studios to the public over Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday. Visitors can see how we all make stuff, and what inspires each piece. Of course, the product is also for sale, so visitors can find rare finds to take home.
This year, there are 12 artists contributing to the event. They range from textilers, jewellers, ceramicists, gardeners and fine artists. Take a look over the exhibitor list above.
We have a number of creative friends exhibiting and demonstrating at Tarndie on the weekend, and the Courtyard Kiosk will be serving up great coffee and delicious morning and afternoon teas.
Find out where everyone is on the map below, and we’d love to see you over Easter.
