Sock Making with Angie Smales – The Potty Knitter
Sunday 7 August.
10am to 4pm.
Participants will learn the skills to knit the perfect pair of socks with a reinforced heel.
They will receive a multi sized pattern for 8 ply and 4 ply of a classic sock as pictured and learn the skills to personalise their socks.
Design variation covered are ribbed, stripes, lace and textured socks.
On the day we will knit an 8 ply sock and you will need ~100gr of yarn (the usual quantity in a sock knitting pack).
Natural and hand dyed yarn will be available for purchase prior to the workshop.
$110 (including lunch, morning/arvo tea, tuition)
What to bring:
Knitters will need to bring a set of 5 double pointed 4mm needles (as short as possible 15cm is ideal) and a wool darning needle.
