This simple beanie is all about achieveing a customized knit when you’ve only got the basics of knitting behind you. Designed by Ruth Watson.
By using two strands of 4ply yarn, you can create a raft of marled finishes. Hand dyed yarns work particularly well in this pattern as you avoid pooling or blocks of colour.
Birre Beanie
birre is a fitted unisex beanie knit in the round. Designed by Briony Mannering.
The pattern is written for DK weight yarn, in 3 sizes and written for both a fitted crown, and a slouch version.
birre starts at the brim, and works up to the crown with a simple colour work motif between the colour transitions.
